In this context, ULAK systems can work with elements such as UAVs, drones, security cameras, satellite systems, and various sensors. ULAK solutions can serve both domestically and in border areas. The security of border buffer zones and illegal crossings can be monitored with 4.5G-enabled cameras, drones, and sensors, and data from personnel at border gates can be sent to police stations in real-time via their body cameras. All elements can be monitored from a single point with Central Command and Control Systems.
Mobile Base Station
The Fourth Generation (4.5G - LTE-A) communication technology, which was standardized by 3GPP in 2010 with the Rel-10 version, was developed on top of LTE (Rel-8) standards to meet the increasing mobile data traffic needs worldwide and to improve the user experience. With LTE-A technology, users are provided with service support with lower latency, high speed in downlink/uplink direction, and high user capacity.
DetailsThanks to the fully IP-based Core Network and RAN Network, resources are used more efficiently, and spectral efficiency is increased by MIMO, Carrier Aggregation, and high-order modulation in downlink/uplink direction.
With the following features supported in ULAK LTE-A BBU, it is aimed to use radio resources more efficiently and increase the service quality of users with low cost;
1. 4*4 MIMO feature supported in downlink direction allows for more efficient use of air interface resources, increasing spectral efficiency and providing users with high-speed downlink service.
2. Carrier Aggregation up to 3CC and DL 256QAM features allow a single user to combine up to 60 MHz of Intra-Band or Inter-Band LTE carriers and achieve high data rates by transferring 8 bits of data with a single LTE symbol.
3. The Mobility Load Balancing feature allows operators to redirect users in LTE carriers where traffic congestion occurs to different carrier frequencies so that radio resources can be used more efficiently.
4. The VoLTE feature is supported in ULAK LTE-A BBU thanks to the IP-based Core Network (Evolved Packet Core) supported by LTE technology. With the VoLTE feature, radio resources are used more efficiently, and call setup time can provide users with high-quality voice service compared to 3G voice call setup time.
5. With the SON (Self Organizing Network) features in ULAK LTE-A BBU, neighbor relationships can be automatically added or removed between LTE cells, and PCI planning can be performed.
Smart Cities
ULAK aims to provide city-specific cyber security through smart city solutions and create a mobile communication infrastructure that can be easily managed from a single center (private LTE) in order to offer infrastructure and services that support technological, economic, and social development in transportation, energy, and life verticals, making life easier and more cost-effective.
DetailsWith the advancement of technology and the relatively easy accessibility of data, the concept of smart cities has emerged, which makes use of information technology infrastructure to improve social and environmental problems. Smart cities use IoT devices such as connected sensors, lights, and meters to collect and analyze data. ULAK's smart city infrastructure is specifically designed for the project with end-to-end mobile communication infrastructure, systems prioritizing cybersecurity for data transportation, backup data centers prioritizing service continuity. The system supports video transfer, free calls between personnel without relying on an operator, an internal communication infrastructure, and mobile communication tools for events and disaster situations.
ULAK's smart city solutions are designed in anticipation of the increasing importance of information and communication technologies. Advanced smart city solutions include traffic management, energy efficiency, smart lighting systems, building efficiency systems, smart parking, and smart agriculture services.
The biggest motivation behind smart city applications is to optimize the use of public resources and provide high levels of service to the public. Solutions, especially those that support smart agriculture, which sustain the economy of cities, stand out. Applications working for smart cities can be managed by a single platform and a single center using ULAK's data center solution (SD-DC).
Why Smart City?Considering the increasing population density, it will largely prevent existing problems such as traffic congestion, air quality, resource preservation, and security. Thus, it will be possible to build a city with a high quality of life, peaceful and secure, while optimizing operational costs and enabling effective use of public resources.
Smart City Usage Areas- Smart Grid Meters
Smart meters offer the opportunity to centrally manage the water, electricity, and natural gas meters in the city, as well as effectively manage loss and theft tracking.

Smart Factories
Within the scope of Industry 4.0, ULAK provides solutions that use 5G technology to connect a large number of machines/robots, provide necessary capacity for the transfer of image data of AGV/AMR/AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots and Autonomous Ground Vehicles) in the industrial facility, provide necessary capacity to create a reliable network infrastructure to manage and control connected devices (machines, robots, AGV/AMRs, AMRs, etc.) continuously.
DetailsThe current Internet of Things (IoT) trend is towards smart manufacturing with more connected factory systems to minimize cost and save time, labor, maintenance and repair. It provides numerous benefits and cost savings such as smart production, improved efficiency, enhanced productivity.
ULAK's private LTE solutions allow for the establishment of a mobile communication infrastructure in the factory environment, enabling the deployment of many technologies that prioritize production efficiency, such as IoT, digital twins, and video analytics.
All machines, products, mechanical and electronic equipment in the production line will be in constant communication with each other via IoT on the private network. The integration of M2M (machine-to-machine) is possible with both IT systems and the interaction between them. Real-time and decentralized communication technology enables quick decision-making without delay. This communication infrastructure creates flexible and self-organizing dynamic processes.
Industry 4.0 applications that can control the production process from supply, storage, production, quality control, shipping, to maintenance/repair on their own, reduce error and defect rates in production and minimize waiting times, raising efficiency, one of the most basic performance criteria of production. Thus, the production costs decrease while the production amount increases. With the work to be done, unit product costs are reduced, contributing to the emergence of competitive products on a global scale.
Why Smart Factories? The main motivation in smart factories is to achieve maximum efficiency while saving time in production. This will speed up the release of products produced in smart factories to the market. Machines, electronic and mechanical components, and vehicle systems in smart factories will be equipped with thousands of sensors to increase speed, efficiency, and quality.
Digital TwinA digital twin is also created to ensure continuous control of the communication network established, in addition to the manufacturing system. In Digital Twin technology, robotic control algorithms are required to work in real time. Hybrid models (combination of physics-based and data-based models) to manage the variability in the manufacturing system and inputs and to optimize production parameters in real-time must work stably and in real-time. In order to achieve this, uninterrupted signal (data) exchange between the operation technology layer and the information technology layer with the calculation technology at the end being robust enough to process incoming signals. ULAK implements this communication infrastructure with uninterrupted, reliable and user-friendly interfaces.
Smart Factory Use Cases- Inter-Factory and In-Building Secure Communication
Software-defined data center (SD-DC) is used for data storage and to provide necessary software services. Software-defined wide area network device (SD-WAN) provides services for ensuring data security.

- Smartening of Robotic Systems
Autonomous (AGV/AMR) robots in production communicate with each other and with edge computing. Autonomous (AGV/AMR) robots in production can change routes with artificial intelligence (Al) (creating a digital copy of the end-to-end production line). Artificial intelligence-supported digital twins are created for production processes.
